One must count nothing as one’s own in the midst of abundance.”

In listening and watching what is presented either on the internet, radio or TV, the news of death travels quickly. For me, it was reading the news on the internet about Ed McMann. Then it was Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson on the same day. Upon writing this, I learned about Billy May’s (Oxiclean & Orange Glo) passing. Each individual had their own unique character, which we admire, for whatever reason.
With my own feelings of these important individuals that have touched my life in some way, had me sitting with my own thoughts of my own destiny.
This led me to reflect upon my own self. As I review my life and the lessons that I have experienced and learned I am coming to a clearer understanding about life’s destiny.
Life’s Destiny is becoming Your Own Character. “Who are You?”
After being born into this world, each of us is raised by our parent’s beliefs. We are taught what our parents think are right or wrong. We learned from teachers by going to school. Then upon entering into the age where we can leave home, we then continue into a life of uncertainties, making our own decisions. Now there are some that know just where they are going and what they are doing. But for most…it’s the freedom of leaving home. Getting away, thinking we know it all and stumbling from day to day at what we thought would be easy.
We live by thought-by-thought, action-by-action, moment-to-moment each living day. Each day is filled with many unfolding events that leave us with many types of emotions; whether by our own choices or by others. With the ocurances that display in our life, it leaves us with experiences. Experiences then leave us with strength and the knowledge of right and wrong. We make choices to keep what we are comfortable with and what we believe in. This creates a comfort zone within our own self which then contributes to habits.
There are times when we challenge ourselves with new adventures which affect the comfort zone. These choices are made with apprehension, but in order to grow, move forward and learn, we must face those challenges. It is part of who we want to be and become.
Each of us is unique! Each of us has our own talents/gifts, thoughts, strengths, visions, dreams and belief in all that we can be.
Each thought becomes spoken words. Those spoken words become actions. Actions then become a part of you, which displays who you are; you’re Character.
Your Character is and becomes Your Destiny.
